Problem Note 35584: Incorrect syntax for FMTSEARCH option results in formats not being found

When listing format catalogs using the FMTSEARCH system option, the list must be separated by spaces.

   options fmtsearch=(abc def);

If another delimiter is used, such as a comma, no ERROR or WARNING message is issued regarding the incorrect syntax. However, an ERROR message will occur related to the formats in the catalog not being found.

   ERROR:  The format XXX was not found or could not be loaded.

In a future release of SAS, a message will be issued regarding the incorrect syntax.
